  • Networking Services (DNS, DHCP)

    The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) group supports the provisioning of key networking services including Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) for customers on both the state’s intranet and in the external facing application domains.

  • Network Management and Support

    The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) supports numerous network infrastructures. The ENS support methodology consists of configuring network infrastructure devices with management protocols and through the use of centralized servers collect alerts, alarms, events and traps that report the network status.

  • Public Safety Data Network

    The Public Safety Data Network (PSDN) is an ultra-high-speed fiber optic data network that serves as a dedicated transport infrastructure and interconnectivity pathway for public safety and government applications and services throughout the state.

  • Statewide Broadband Technology

    The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) group in partnership with the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) and the Connecticut Education Network (CEN) provides private and public network connections to Public Safety, Municipal and Educational customers within the State of Connecticut via the Nutmeg Network. The ENS group serves as operators, management and planners for a number of State of Connecticut associated networks.

  • Enterprise Application Hosting and Support

    Provide application server hosting for statewide agency web based applications hosted and managed by DAS BITS.

  • Wide Area Networks

    The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) group provides Wide Area Networks (WAN) connectivit to all Executive Branch Agencies via BITS intranet infrastructure and content filtering and security support for entire State Intranet and access to the Internet.

  • Distributed Platforms

    BITS Server Management offers secure highly available virtual hosting solutions for statewide applications and services.

  • Enterprise Storage

    The DAS BITS Storage Area Network (SAN) / Network Attached Storage (NAS) service provides a robust disk storage infrastructure utilized by both mainframe and midrange/ enterprise server platforms for the State of Connecticut client/ user community.

  • Mainframe Platforms

    Mainframe computing services consist of the hosting and maintenance of customer applications on mainframe servers at the Groton, Connecticut (GDC) or Springfield, Massachusetts (SDC), secure data processing centers.

  • Statewide Data Center Facilities

    DAS/BITS provides data processing center services in our Tier II redundant data centers located in Groton, Connecticut (GDC) and Springfield, Massachusetts (SDC).

  • BITS Payment Services Application

    The BITS Payment Service was created for the benefit of State Agencies that need to develop an application which has the ability to process credit card transactions.

  • SharePoint - Document Collaboration Tool

    SharePoint is a web-based platform widely used to improve efficiency for document collaboration, forms processing, and team communications.

  • Video Hosting Services

    Streaming Media is digital video or audio content that is sent in a continuous stream over a network and played as it arrives. This service is primarily used to host videos and stream them via the state’s website.

    The Applications Development Group of the Department of Administrative Services / Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) is committed to the design, development, implementation and integration of computer information systems in support of State of Connecticut Agencies and DAS Service Areas.

  • Learning Management System (LMS)

    A learning management system (LMS) is software for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery courses or training programs.
