Pharmacy Intern

Purpose

This registration is for an individual who is employed by or serving under the supervision of a pharmacist in a pharmacy or institutional pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining the professional experience required under the provisions of C.G.S. Section 20-590, and shall be completed at the time of commencing employment or service under such supervision.

Prerequisites

The applicant may not be registered as a pharmacy intern unless the applicant has successfully completed two years of college and is enrolled in a professional program at a school or college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education and approved by the Commission,

-or-

if the applicant is a graduate from a foreign pharmacy school not approved by the Commission, has passed a proficiency test for written and spoken English and a foreign pharmacy graduate equivalency examination.
