Notice: Repairs to the Tankerhoosen Lake Dam, located at approx. 40 Phoenix St in Vernon, will begin mid-June 2025, and may last 6-8 weeks. The project will consist of injecting grout behind the spillway to prevent seepage through the stone masonry and removing trees from the earthen embankment to prevent root systems from weakening the structure of the embankment. The water level of the lake will be lowered approximately 1.5 feet below the height of the spillway while the work is conducted. The small park and parking area at Phoenix St/Maple Ave will be used as the construction access and will be closed for the duration of the Project. The Project contractors are Tata & Howard and D'Amato Construction.
