Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Reunion On Sunday October 8 in Stafford Springs
Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that the 8th Annual CT Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Reunion will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8 at the CT CCC Museum on 166 Chestnut Hill Rd. (Rt. 190), Stafford Springs.

Kevin the Turkey Captured and Relocated
On Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at approximately 1:30 pm Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police Officers at the request of Wethersfield Police safely captured Kevin the Turkey of Wethersfield in the vicinity of Jordan Lane and the Silas Deane Highway.

CT DEEP, Public Officials Launch Campaign to Recycle More Plastic Bags, Wraps
State officials and recycling advocates today launched a new campaign to increase recycling of plastic bags and wraps, noting that a survey finds most people in Connecticut are not yet aware of where and what to recycle.

Connecticut Files Lawsuit against EPA to Require Action on Petition to Reduce Emissions from Pennsylvania Coal Plant
Connecticut has filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court, District of Connecticut against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for failure to take timely action on a petition from Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) asking the EPA to take action to stop pollution from a Pennsylvania coal-fired power plant from blowing our way.
