  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced the dates for the 2017-2018 migratory bird hunting seasons, which include seasons for ducks, geese, woodcock, snipe, rails, and crows. Specific details on season dates, bag limits, regulations, and other reminders are published in the 2017-2018 Migratory Bird Hunting Guide, which is available at www.ct.gov/deep/hunting.

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that $13.6 million in state funding will be awarded to 14 municipalities across Connecticut to assess, remediate and revitalize blighted properties in their communities – also known as “brownfields” – and put them back into productive use.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that prints of the 2018 Connecticut Migratory Bird Conservation Stamp created by nationally renowned Connecticut artist Chet Reneson are now available in limited quantity.

• 8/3/2017 DEEP Bans Alcohol at Gardner Lake State Park, Salem 90-Day Ban Takes Effect This Saturday - August 5

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has temporarily banned the possession and consumption of alcohol at Gardner Lake State Park, Salem – effective this Saturday – to improve management of that park and address public safety issues there.
