Gov. Malloy: Investments in Microgrids, Energy Efficiency, and Hardening Infrastructure Critical to Mitigate the Impact of Climate Change
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Nancy Sutley, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, and other state and local officials gathered today in Hartford to highlight the state's progress to mitigate the impact of climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Connecticut's work to harden energy infrastructure and modernize its electric grid, as well as the state's progress in reducing harmful carbon emissions through investments in transportation, renewable energy projects, and energy efficiency initiatives position the state as a leader in the clean energy economy.

Gov. Malloy Signs Legislation to Improve Connecticut Newborn Health Screening Process
Governor Dannel P. Malloy on Friday joined with a group of legislators and public health advocates for the ceremonial signing of legislation (Public Act 13-242 – "An Act Concerning Newborn Screening For Adrenoleukodystrophy") that requires Connecticut health care institutions to screen newborns in their care for adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare, but potentially fatal, genetic disorder that affects the central nervous system and causes a range of neurological, physical, and behavioral symptoms.

Judge's Preliminary Decision on Transmission Rates Favorable to New England States and Electric Utility Customers
