General Firearms Deer Season Began November 14

EnCon Investigating Fatal Tree Contractor Accident
Connecticut State Environmental Conservation Police (EnCon) are investigating after a tree contractor was struck and killed by a tree while working in Natchaug State Forest in the area of Pumpkin Hill Road in Chaplin shortly before Noon on November 1st.

CT Fire Crew Members Departing for Western States to Assist U.S. Forest Service in Fighting Fires
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announced that five members of the Connecticut fire crew will be departing 2:00 p.m. today (August 15th) from DEEP Eastern District Headquarters, 209 Hebron Road, Marlborough to assist the U.S. Forest Service in fighting wildfires in western states.
