Gov. Malloy Announces SNAP Replacement Benefits for Connecticut Residents Impacted by Storm Sandy
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that over 73,000 low-income Connecticut households enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps) will receive storm-related food replacement benefits on Saturday.

Gov. Malloy: Hartford CTTRANSIT Facility Moves to Clean Power
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today joined officials from the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) and CTTRANSIT to dedicate the United Technologies Company (UTC) stationary fuel cell that is providing CTTRANSIT's Hartford bus maintenance and storage facility with clean and reliable power. The Governor also announced a $5.7 million Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant for the planning, purchase and installation of similar technology at the New Haven bus maintenance and storage facility.

Gov. Malloy: Fairfield Service Plaza to Reopen, Providing Important Food and Fueling Location in Storms’ Wake

Malloy today announced that the newly renovated service plaza on the northbound side of the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield will reopen at noon on Friday, November 9, providing one more conveniently accessible source of gasoline and food for motorists in the region - many of whom are still coping with the aftermath of Storm Sandy last week and the nor'easter this week.

Gov. Malloy: New Haven Rail Line Branch Service to Resume Monday
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that rail service on the Danbury and Waterbury branch lines of the New Haven Line will resume Monday, November 5, 2012. Bus service will be provided on the New Canaan branch line at least on Monday and Tuesday, November 5-6.
