  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today issued a Call of Special Session for Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. Governor Malloy issued the call to expand his rescission authority and enact legislation to close the budget deficit for the biennium ending June 30, 2013.

Malloy and Commission on Culture and Tourism Executive Director Kip Bergstrom, will announce a unique public-private partnership between CCT and Connecticut businesses and tourist attractions. This Quick-Start campaign will provide funding to allow CCT to market the state's tourist attractions, events and lodging ahead of the busy summer tourist season.

  On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give welcoming remarks at the Connecticut Matchmaking Business Conference, an event designed to match qualified Connecticut small businesses with federal and state prime contractors to increase business opportunities.   On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join FDNY firefighters and other local first responders for the National 9/11 Flag restoration ceremony at the Old State House in Hartford. Destroyed in the aftermath of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2011, the flag has been touring all 50 states where pieces of fabric from U.S. flags destined for retirement in each state have been stitched together to bring the flag back to its original 13-stripe format.
