  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announces a family friendly program, Lagomorphs and Rodents. Join staff educators on Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Kellogg Environmental Center, Derby to learn about mice, squirrels, beavers and their cousins – lagomorphs – which include rabbits and hares.

• 3/23/2017 DEEP Announces 1.267 Million Gallons of Recreational Vessel Boat Sewage Removed in 2016 and $1 Million in Grants Awarded for Marine Sewage Disposal Facilities for the 2017 Boating Season

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that during the 2016 boating season, pumpout facilities and pumpout vessel programs removed a record level of more 1.267 million gallons of recreational marine sewage from vessels in Long Island Sound and Candlewood Lake.
