• 3/26/2015 Gov. Malloy Announces Funds to Support Affordable Housing Throughout the State

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Department of Housing (DOH) Commissioner and Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) Board Chairman Evonne M. Klein today announced investments of more than $60 million in funding for 14 affordable housing projects across the state. The projects will build and rehabilitate 851 affordable apartments and 246 market-rate units.

• 3/4/2015 Gov. Malloy: New Round of Funding Will Help Clean Up and Reactivate Connecticut Brownfields

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is now accepting applications for a new round of grant funding of up to $7.5 million that will be awarded to help remediate and redevelop brownfield sites throughout the state.

• 3/24/2015 Gov. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Wyman Create Commission on Youth and Urban Violence

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today announced that they are forming a panel of experts and community leaders from a variety of backgrounds who will be charged with reviewing the sources and causes of youth violence in urban areas, as well as developing proposals that will further reduce the rate of violent crime.

• 3/2/2015 Gov. Malloy Announces Fourteen Communities Awarded Funding to Create 416 Additional Preschool Slots

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that over $3.5 million in state funding is being awarded to fourteen towns and cities across Connecticut that will expand the availability of high-quality preschool to 416 additional children.

• 3/13/2015 Gov. Malloy: Habco Industries to Expand Operations and Jobs in Glastonbury

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that HABCO Industries, which builds test and ground-support equipment for the aerospace industry, is expanding its Glastonbury operation and plans to increase its workforce from 42 to 79 over the next four years.

• 3/4/2015 Gov. Malloy: Precision Manufacturer in Windsor to Expand Operations, Increase its Connecticut Workforce

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that precision manufacturer Leipold, Inc., the Windsor–based division of internationally known Leipold Gmbh, will be expanding its Connecticut operation and increasing employment by up to fifty percent over the next two years.

• 3/27/2015 Gov. Malloy Joins Officials to Commemorate the Launch of CTfastrak

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today joined federal, state and local transportation and elected officials at a grand opening ceremony in downtown New Britain to inaugurate service on CTfastrak - Connecticut's new bus rapid transit service in central Connecticut.  CTfastrak operations begin on Saturday, March 28, 2015, starting with nine days of free service for riders.

• 3/26/2015 Gov. Malloy: With Launch of CTfastrak this Weekend, CTtransit Bus Service Will Now Operate on Sundays in Bristol, New Britain and Waterbury

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) Commissioner James P. Redeker today announced that CTtransit bus service will now offer new Sunday service in Bristol, New Britain and Waterbury, beginning this Sunday, March 29, 2015.  The additional service, which will also run on all major holidays - including the upcoming Easter holiday on Sunday, April 5, 2015 - coincides with the launch of the CTfastrak bus rapid transit system this weekend.

  On Monday evening, Governor Dannel P. • 3/15/2015 Monday: Gov. Malloy Visits Expanding Technology Company in Windsor and Discusses Job Growth; Keynotes Hartford Rotary Club Meeting

  On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join an expanding company, Novitex Enterprise Solutions, for the opening of its new MegaCenter in Windsor. The Governor will also discuss the state's jobs report, which is scheduled to be released by the Connecticut Department of Labor earlier in the morning.

• 3/27/2015 Saturday: Gov. Malloy Kicks Off Robotics Competition in Hartford

  On Saturday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make welcoming remarks at the opening ceremony of the New England FIRST Robotics Competition in Hartford.  The two-day competition was created to inspire young students and encourage a love of learning for science and engineering.
