Tuesday: Lt. Governor Wyman Speaks at Events in Groton, Westbrook, and Hartford
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make remarks at the annual Sunrise Workers' Memorial Day service hosted by the Southeastern Connecticut Central Labor Council and the AFL-CIO Community Services of Southeastern Connecticut. The ceremony honors the men and women who have lost their lives while on the job.

Tuesday: Lt. Governor Wyman Attends Housing Groundbreaking in Hartford, Speaks at Military Send-Off Ceremony
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will join Connecticut Department of Housing Commissioner Evonne Klein at the Hands on Hartford groundbreaking ceremony. The Hands on Hartford community center is making renovations to bring supportive housing, meal service, job training, and other programs under one roof. The Housing Department invested $950,000 in the project.

Tuesday: Lt. Governor Wyman Attends Heroes for Hire Career Fair
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will attend the annual Connecticut Department of Labor Heroes for Hire Career Fair. This event is expected to attract around 1200 veterans and more than 90 Connecticut employers-and provides education, health, and other resources for veterans.

Monday: Lt. Governor Wyman Chairs Youth and Urban Violence Task Force
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will chair the first meeting of the Commission on Youth and Urban Violence. Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman created the task force in March 2015 to examine the risk factors of youth violence in Connecticut cities and develop violence prevention policy and program recommendations.

Thursday: Lt. Governor Wyman Chairs Early Childhood Cabinet
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will co-chair the quarterly meeting of the Connecticut Early Childhood Cabinet with Office of Early Childhood Commissioner Myra Jones-Taylor. The Cabinet will address homelessness in families with young children and link efforts to ongoing work to end chronic homelessness by the end of 2016.

Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman today was recognized by the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) with the Public Leadership in Advancing Healthy Lifestyles award for her work as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Access Health CT, the state's healthcare exchange.

Lt. Governor Wyman Chairs First Meeting of Commission on Youth and Urban Violence
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman chaired the first meeting of the Commission on Youth and Urban Violence. Created in March 2015 by Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman, the task force is charged with examining the causes and triggers of youth violence, and developing anti-violence policy responses and recommendations.

Lieutenant Governors Support National Guard
As debate continues in Washington D.C. regarding National Guard funding, state and territorial elected leaders stand with the National Guard. Twenty-five seconds-in-command (Lt. Governors and Secretaries of State) are writing the United States President and Congress to oppose proposed federal funding cuts to the National Guard, the only military force shared by the states and the federal government.

Lt. Gov. Wyman Greets Connecticut Fire Crew Upon their Return Tomorrow from California
Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announced that Lieutenant Governor Wyman will greet the members of Connecticut's fire crew as they return home to Connecticut tomorrow with arrival time of approximately 10:30 a.m. at Eastern District Headquarters, 209 Hebron Road, Marlborough.

GOV. MALLOY & LT. GOV WYMAN ANNOUNCE DEPARTURE OF HEALTH REFORM ADVISOR
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today announced that Jeanette DeJesús, Special Advisor to the Governor on Health Reform and Director of the Office of Health Reform & Innovation, will depart her position with the administration in January to become Senior Vice President of the Wheeler Clinic, Inc.
