Tuesday: Lt. Governor Wyman Participates in Forum on Senior Issues, Celebrates East Windsor Senior Center
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make welcoming remarks at a forum on aging hosted by the Connecticut Department on Aging and the General Assembly Committee on Aging. The panel discussion is in preparation for the White House Conference on Aging, a national conversation on programs and services for seniors, held in Boston on May 28, 2015. Department on Aging Commissioner Betsy Ritter and Committee on Aging co-chairs Senator Mae Flexer and Representative Joe Serra will be in attendance to discuss issues of importance with members of the public and caregivers.

Lt. Gov. Wyman: Access Health CT Becomes First Exchange in Nation to Adopt Self-Sustaining Budget
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, Chair of the Board of Directors of Access Health CT (AHCT), and AHCT CEO Jim Wadleigh announced that next year Connecticut will have the first self-sustaining state healthcare exchange in the country. Today, at their monthly meeting, the AHCT Board adopted an operations budget that relies exclusively on revenue generated by the organization.

RESPONDERS INVOLVED IN SANDY HOOK TRAGEDY TO RECEIVE COMPENSATORY TIME UNDER NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT

Malloy today announced that first responders and other state employees who were significantly involved with the direct response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School last year will be credited with forty hours of compensatory time under an agreement reached between the state and six unions representing the state employees
