On Tuesday morning, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will tour the Hockanum Mill development. With state and federal investment and a partnership with the Town of Vernon, the project will remediate a brownfield and restore 10 existing structures to create 150,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space in Vernon.

Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, the incoming chair of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA), will also be the acting chair of the 2014 NLGA Annual Meeting in Girdwood, Alaska. She commenced duties today when current NLGA chair, Oklahoma Lt. Governor Todd Lamb, was unable to attend the three day conference.

Gov. Malloy and Commissioner Wentzell Release State Guide to Help School Districts in their Efforts to Further Reduce Chronic Absenteeism and Increase Attendance
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy and State Department of Education (SDE) Commissioner Dianna R. Wentzell today announced the release of a new state guide that provides a framework for local and regional school districts to develop a strategic plan and implement interventions that will lead to the reduction of chronic absenteeism among students in pre-K through Grade 12.
