On Christmas morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will run in the 23rd annual Scrooge’s Scramble 5K in Rockville. The 5K benefits the Cornerstone Foundation, a non-profit, grassroots, community-led provider of social services in the region.

Gov. Malloy and Secretary Merrill Announce All State Agency Regulations Now Available Online
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Secretary of the State Denise Merrill today announced that as of this morning, all state agency regulations have now been made electronically available to the public through the State of Connecticut's website at www.ct.gov/eregulations. In addition to an accessible database of state agency regulations, the new eRegulations website will also contain all agency notices of intent to adopt new regulations, as well as all emergency regulations.

Gov. Malloy Announces Launch of Disaster Recovery Website
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State of Connecticut has launched a new website – CTrecovers.ct.gov – that will serve as a permanent, one-stop portal for residents, businesses and municipalities to gain information about services available in the aftermath of natural disasters and other emergencies, such as available federal and state grants.

Gov. Malloy Announces Nation's First Statewide Microgrid Pilot
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that nine microgrid projects in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Groton, Hartford, Middletown, Storrs, Windham, and Woodbridge have been awarded a total of $18 million in funding primarily through the DEEP Microgrid Pilot Program. The program is designed to develop innovative ways to keep critical buildings powered during electric grid outages.

Gov. Malloy Announces PLANT Grant Application Review Underway
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, in conjunction with the Department of Economic and Community Development, has been diligently reviewing requests for the recently announced PLANT (Production Loss Assistance Needed Today) Grants since the July 15, 2013 application deadline. The state Bond Commission is scheduled to vote Friday on $5 million in funding for the grants, which will provide special assistance to Connecticut farms suffering damage from this year's severe weather.

Gov. Malloy Announces PLANT Grants Open to Farms Damaged by Monday's Tornado and Severe Weather
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Connecticut farms suffering damage from Monday's tornado and severe weather are now eligible to apply for the Production Loss Assistance Needed Today (PLANT) grants that he unveiled on June 23, which are providing assistance to farms in the state that have suffered damage from this year's severe weather events.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Department on Aging Will Better Serve State's Growing Senior Population
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, state Department on Aging (SDA) Commissioner Edith Prague and members of the General Assembly's Aging Committee, held a ceremonial bill signing today for Public Act 13-125, An Act Concerning the Department on Aging. The legislation fully establishes SDA which was statutorily created on January 1, 2013 and will ensure that Connecticut's seniors have access to the supportive services necessary to live with dignity, security, and independence.

Malloy will hold a bill signing ceremony in Hartford to commemorate passage of a new law (Public Act 13-63) that increases the number of U.S. veterans who qualify for job creation incentives under the state’s Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step Up).
