Gov. Malloy Tours Connecticut State Parks
In advance of the July 4th holiday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today toured Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison, Indian Well State Park in Shelton, and Black Rock State Park in Thomaston with Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Commissioner Daniel C. Esty. The Governor highlighted the importance of continued investments to improve the state park system and encouraged residents to get outside and enjoy a state park over the weekend.

Gov. Malloy: State Awards Incentive Housing Zone Grants to Ten Municipalities
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Department of Housing Commissioner Evonne M. Klein, today announced that ten Connecticut towns have each been awarded grants for predevelopment costs associated with establishing incentive housing zones in their respective communities. The towns include: Brookfield, Burlington, Canton, Durham, Fairfield, Haddam, Milford, North Stonington, Ridgefield, and Stonington.

Gov. Malloy: State Awarded Super Storm Sandy Disaster Relief to Preserve and Restore Historic Properties
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the approval of just over $8 million in new federal disaster relief funding from the National Park Service to provide technical assistance and emergency repairs to historic and archaeological resources in Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties that were damaged by Super Storm Sandy in 2012.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has approved the state's action plan for disbursing $71.82 million in federal funding to help Connecticut residents, businesses and communities recover and rebuild after Storm Sandy.
