Gov. Malloy Reappoints Corrections Commissioner Leo Arnone
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he has reappointed Department of Corrections Commissioner Leo Arnone of Somers. Arnone is a 22-year veteran of the Connecticut Department of Corrections. He also worked for 12 years in the state Judicial Branch, and for 3 years at the Department of Children and Families. Arnone is currently the interim commissioner at DOC, originally appointed by Governor M. Jodi Rell.

Gov. Malloy Orders Flags to Half Staff for Staff Sgt. Frank E. Adamski III
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today ordered the Connecticut and U.S. flags to fly at half staff in honor of Connecticut resident Staff Sergeant Frank E. Adamski III, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on Tuesday.

Wednesday: Governor Malloy Addresses Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce
On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be the keynote speaker at the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce breakfast. The Governor has been visiting Chambers of Commerce across the state over the past few months, where he has spoken about his efforts to improve the business climate in Connecticut and get our state’s fiscal house in order to help create new jobs and keep the ones we have.

Wednesday: Governor Malloy Speaks at Realtors Meeting, Attends Electric Vehicle Charging Station Event, Visits CT Invention Convention, Addresses Home Builders Meeting, Gives Remarks at Opening of CT
On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will speak at the annual meeting of the Connecticut Association of Realtors in Hartford. Also on Wednesday morning, Governor Malloy will join The Hartford’s CEO Liam McGee to unveil new electric vehicle charging stations at The Hartford’s headquarters and participate in a ceremonial first charge of an electric vehicle. The Hartford is one of the first companies in the Hartford area to provide charging stations for its employees.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that next week’s Bond Commission Agenda will include $2.5 million for the remediation of an 85-acre site adjacent to Kaman Aerospace Corp. in Bloomfield that was acquired from the U.S. Navy.

Gov. Malloy: Bond Commission Approves Funding for Development of Renaissance Place in Naugatuck
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State Bond Commission on Friday approved a grant of $500,000 to assist with architectural and engineering design services for a parking garage at the Renaissance Place development project in Naugatuck.

Gov. Malloy on Decision to Grant Mariano Cardoso a Stay of Removal
Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement after learning that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has granted Mariano Cardoso a temporary stay of removal. Last week, Governor Malloy wrote to immigration officials to request that they defer a deportation order for Cardoso, who is nearing completion of his engineering degree at Capital Community College in Hartford.
